Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: The policyholder service representative will service agents, policyholders and providers as well as assisting other departments in making policy changes on Medicare Supplement policies. Responsible for handling billing changes and other updates as needed. The PHS Rep will also assist in answering questions from Customer Service department regarding policies, billing, premium coverages, cancellations and rate changes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately and timely process premium payments.
• Must speak professionally on the phone. Some outbound calls will be required.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with policyholders, agents or providers.
• Must be able to work as a team to ensure all work is completed.
• Must be able to maintain daily production standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Financial/ insurance industry knowledge preferred
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of web-based programs as well as Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to complete task with minimal supervision
• Must be dependable and flexible
