We are seeking Manhole Rehab Laborer/Operators for seasonal sewer infrastructure rehabilitation work beginning in March/April 2025. This role applies trenchless CIPP technology to repair and rehabilitate manhole structures and underground pipeline systems throughout the Pittsburgh metro area. Candidates will work in confined spaces performing hands-on product application to extend the service life of critical wastewater infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities — Manhole Rehab Laborer/Operator
- Perform trenchless rehabilitation of manholes and pipeline structures using CIPP lining systems
- Apply specialized coating and rehabilitation products to sewer and drain structures
- Enter and work safely in permit-required confined spaces including manholes and underground vaults
- Access work areas via ladder entry to elevated and below-grade locations
- Transport materials and equipment to job sites as needed
- Follow safety protocols for outdoor construction environments and confined space operations
Qualifications — Manhole Rehab Laborer/Operator
- Ability to work in permit-required confined spaces (manholes, vaults, underground structures)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and fitness-for-duty physical examination
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand and power tools
- Willingness to work frequent overtime and travel to job sites as projects require
Preferred Qualifications — Sewer Rehabilitation Laborer
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (increases hourly rate to $28.50)
- Previous experience with concrete work or construction trades
- OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety certification
- HAZWOPER 40-hour certification for hazardous waste operations
- Prior experience with trenchless technology, CIPP lining, or sewer rehabilitation
Physical Requirements — Manhole Rehab Laborer/Operator
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions during seasonal construction periods
- Enter and perform duties in confined spaces with limited ventilation and restricted access
- Climb ladders to access manholes, elevated platforms, and below-grade work areas
- Lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand, kneel, and work in confined positions for extended periods
