    Job Description

    JOB TITLE: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / CLIENT SERVICES SPECIALIST

    Location: San Diego, CA 92111

    Schedule: Full Time, M-F 8:30am – 5pm or 8am – 4:30, or 7am – 3:30pm

    Duration: Temporary to hire (Based on performance and business need)

    Pay: $15 - $17 per hour

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to the patient and authorized third parties while also maintaining a high standard in resolving problems and leaving the patient with the understanding of their bill when the contact ends. This position is responsible for fulfilling all requests for our vendors and clients in order to complete a project that was assigned.       

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·       The responsibilities of the Client Services Specialist will include but not limited to:

    ·       Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns and successfully transfer payment calls to levels 2 and 3 representatives.

    ·       Solve patient inquiries by phone regarding past due medical accounts (inbound and outbound calls from Voice mails).

    ·       Access healthcare providers Patients Accounting System (PAS) and their     document imaging system to research patient accounts and retrieve media

    ·       Enters and maintain comprehensive accurate notes, records and updates surrounding all support process and patient communications.

    ·       Compose letters, sends out monthly statements to patients stating balance due.

    ·       Perform any other related duties as required or assigned patient communications.

    ·       Handles bankruptcy accounts including notification/verifications of the bankruptcy.

    ·       Establishes contact with patients, attorneys, Consumer Credit services and other third parties to resolve delinquent accounts.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·       AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or university (Bachelors preferred)

    ·       One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.

    ·       Experience

    ·       Strong working Knowledge of the healthcare industry is generally preferred.

    ·       One to two years of medical and customer services experience.

     

    SKILLS:

    ·       Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

    ·       Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and HIPPA, PHI, PI. 

    ·       Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    ·       Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

    ·       Experience must demonstrate effective management of a variety of priorities and timelines; attention to detail and accuracy in performing work.

    ·       Effective communication with diverse groups/individuals.

    ·       Effective customer service skills
