    Job Description

    ACCOUNTANT PART TIME $22-$27 DOE TEMESCAL CANYON / LAKE ELSINORE AREA ON SITE FLEXIBLE PART TIME SCHEDULE, 3-4 DAYS PER WEEK, APPROX. 32 HOURS/WEEK DURATION:  3 MONTHS AT LEAST

     SUMMARY

    Serves as a key financial advisor to senior management; working closely with the financial team, operating companies and external entities. Responsible for all aspects of accounting operations - including the establishment and enforcement of the company’s accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial data and reporting. Provides counsel on operational issues and financial statements. Responsible for performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel:

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Works closely with corporate controller, coordinate the financial processes of the organization on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
    • Responsible for the daily entry of the data entered into the accounting system.
    • Oversees accounting and fixed asset functions, including daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
    • Directs accounting activities related to the Fleet and owned assets
    • Directs the staff, procedures and computer systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting
    • Directs and/or performs month-end close processing and related preparation and interpretation of internal financial and management reports and profitability analysis for internal and external purposes
    • Balance Sheet reconciliations, presents findings and recommendations
    • Preparation of internal financial statements and footnotes
    • Assists in the formulation of company policy on technical accounting issues and new accounting pronouncements
    • Serve as liaison between branch operations and corporate personnel
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly report submissions for management
    • Assist in annual external audit
    • Evaluates changes in the business and recommends modifications to accounting processes and systems
    • Proactively develops and leads strong relationships with the operations staff, finance personnel, and senior management
    • Perform ad hoc assignments and special projects including, but not limited to analysis/reconciliations and summary evaluations of GL accounts, ERS inventory valuation, sales transactions, etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting preferred (not required)
    • Five to seven years of experience, preferably in the Rental or Construction industry
    • Technical skills and experience in Financial Reporting and Fixed Asset accounting
    • Strong relational and analytical skills
    • Proficient in MS Office
