Global mold manufacturer, & supplier, in the NW Suburbs of Chicago, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join their family centered culture. With over a half century of service to their customers, being committed to continuous improvement, and offering a “one stop shop” (product design to shipping the final product), they are high tech mold-makers.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with production supervisors, engineering, program managers and other support staff to conceptualize, research, and implement new ideas, processes, and technologies
• Create SOP and Work Instructions on new equipment
• Provide guidance on quoting for new processes, (post mold)
• Review OEE, Labor, and Process efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead continuous improvement projects
• Provide training and insights to junior employees for the betterment of the individual and the company
• Implement new automation technologies for injection molding machinery

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• 2-3 years experience in plastic injection molding, preferred
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment

• Shift: M-F, Days
• Pay: 70k-110k (depending on experience)
