  • Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead and support the production department in achieving operational excellence for a leading food production facility. We are committed to delivering high-quality products while ensuring food safety and adhering to industrial safety standards.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead, plan, organize, and control the operation of the shift to ensure efficient production processes.
    • Measure and evaluate key performance and productivity targets, including staffing levels, against established standards and goals.
    • Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery in collaboration with the food production and engineering teams, promptly reporting equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
    • Train, develop, and coach production leads employees to enhance their skills and improve performance.
    • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and good manufacturing processes (GMPs) at all times.
    • Comply with FDA, HACCP, and SQF standards, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
    • Lead interactions with local, state, federal, and third-party inspectors, providing necessary documentation and addressing any concerns or issues.
    • Monitor, manage, and improve employee productivity, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and progressive discipline as needed.
    • Review and maintain accurate time records for all employees on the shift.
    • Prepare and submit performance reports, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures, taking appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
    • Identify and resolve employee, customer, and supplier concerns promptly and professionally.

    Job Requirements:

    • High school diploma is required; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food production, preferably in a supervisory role.
    • Minimum 7 years of supervisory experience in any industry.
    • Previous experience in food processing, manufacturing, and operations procedures is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated respect, approachability, and teamwork while building strong working relationships and fostering a positive work environment.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Schedule: 10-hour shifts, (2nd shift)
