    6388 W2 Only Local candidates are encouraged to apply Seeking a Project Management Analyst in the greater Costa Mesa, CA area for a contract position. This position requires the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. Duties Initiates, plans, executes, controls, and manages all aspects of project(s) to ensure ultimate project success. Job Functions Determines and discerns detailed requirements on small-to-mid scale projects to establish the project deliverables and develop the project management plan, and manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs Update project management plan to reflect authorized project changes Establishes project expectations and coordinates team members and stakeholder relationships, and communications Leads the execution of tasks as defined in the project management plan and actively manage project risk- Assesses project performance in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify variances Develops and implements corrective actions and communicate to all stakeholders Manages project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned Other incidental duties Level of Independence Works independently without close supervision Compares and evaluates possible courses of action after considering various possibilities Applies his or her knowledge in following procedures or in determining which procedures to follow or determining whether specified standards are met Considers the cause and effect of activities Determines or effectively recommends course of action after considering potential risks of alternatives- May provide guidance to lower level personnel Makes decisions in the face of different alternatives and without formulas or guidelines or with guidelines that are not complete and exhaustive, and which allow room for creativity and judgment- Direction tends to be high level and focused on end results with means of accomplishment left to incumbent Required Skills Project Management MS Office Project Scheduling Excellent Organizational Skills Excellent Communication Skills Skills Developing and managing detailed project schedules Facilitating cross-functional team meetings Go-getter, driving progress in complex and dynamic environment Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems Good written and verbal communication skills including relationship management skills Good problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to adapt to change Substantial understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing small-to-mid scale project plans Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills Strict attention to detail Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment Must be able to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders Ability to build productive internalexternal working relationships Adhere to all rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under the span of influencecontrol Product development process experience is a plus Education Bachelor's Degree in related field with 2-3 years of hands on experience managing small-to-mid scale projects and experience with vendor management required.
