    6394 W2 Only Local candidates are encouraged to apply Seeking an Associate Data Analyst in the Irvine, CA area for an immediate opening of a one year contract position with the possibility for conversion. Please note that this position requires the successful completion of a background check and drug screen prior to starting. This an entry level role is to join a data analysis team supporting data insights and Categorization Services. This position is focused on providing ongoing annotation and hands-on analysis of actual consumer records. Primary responsibility is to executes tasks and functions necessary to support continuous improvement in the generation of quality data categorization and standardization. Responsibilities Annotation of training data sets conformant to defined taxonomy and instructions Detailed analysis of consumer data and categorization results Refine requirements for Data pre and post processing Develop expertise in operation and understanding of categorization System Execute ad-hocdailyweekly Tasks required for operating and training categorization system Support Taxonomy requirements in partnership with product team Support development and operation of data standardization processes Review categorization corrections, updates, and optimizations Support and contribute to documentation and standardization efforts Support assessment of immediate and long-term value of new data sources, including identification of missing consumer datainformation elements Collaborate with business stakeholders and Artemis Engineering teams Education Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics Required Skills Demonstrated analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization SQL or Excel skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools Flexible and adaptable to learn and understand new technologies Familiarity and tenure in the Domestic US marketplace, including recognition of major brands and retail firms Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with an enquiring mind and the ability to learn quickly Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity Desired skillsexperience - Bonus points for any of the following Ph.D. in economics, statistics, physics, math, or another quantitative field Understanding of current trends in machine learning interpretability and transparency Familiarity with probability, statistical inference, optimization algorithms, linear algebra, and calculus.
