    Job Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the primary interface between U.S. suppliers and our corporate design engineering team. This role ensures smooth communication, accurate technical interpretation, and timely resolution of design and production matters. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in modifying engineering drawings, developing SOPs, and driving production efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is required
    • 5+ years of expereince in aerospace/space/defense manufacturing in electro-mechanical
    • Proficiency in modifying and updating engineering drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or an Active Greencard holder with the ability to obtain Clearance after being hired.
    • Demonstrated ability to write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Strong background in production operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Experience with various manufacturing processes like CNC, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal, 3D printing and Composites.
    • Hands-on experience with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
    • Strong understanding of NPI processes and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
    • Expereince with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
    • Proficiency in interpreting GD&T, PCBA schematics, BOMs, and technical specifications.
    • Experience with supplier quality processes and contract manufacturing.

    Responsibilities

    • NPI Support:
      • Collaborate with R&D, design, and supply chain teams to transition products from development to production.
      • Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new products, including tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods.
      • Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
    • Technical Data Package (TDP) Support:
      • Interpret and clarify engineering drawings, PCBA schematics, BOMs, and specifications for internal teams and external suppliers.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions related to the TDP.
      • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and production-ready.
    • Process Engineering:
      • Define and optimize assembly and test processes for electro-mechanical systems.
      • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
      • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      • Work closely with procurement, quality, and supplier engineering teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements.
      • Support supplier onboarding and technical training as needed.
      • Collaborate with design and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
      • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
