SUMMARY
Plan, direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical, machined, electromechanical or electronic products and systems. Responds to manufacturing issues and concerns to ensure products are produced to specifications and according to manufacturing schedules while ensuring efficient use of resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
Determines the processes, identifies the materials, and supplies to be used, and designs and builds appropriate fixtures necessary for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
Performs engineering activities in compliance with established company and manufacturing standards, engineering principles, customer requirements, and related specifications.
Confers with customers and engineering staff concerning tooling to insure efficient production methods.
Estimate production times, staffing requirement and related costs for management decisions.
Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of production and other worker operations to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiencies.
Institutes changes in the production processes and/or recommends adjustments to product pricing.
Coordinate operations, maintenance, and repair activities.
Review and analyze manufacturing and production processes to optimize shop flow
Travel to other Atec facilities may be required as needed to support Atec operations.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology preferred.
