    $60,000-$80,000 (Flexible) | 100% On-Site
    Konik is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure efficient, high-quality production across our operations. This individual will play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation while driving innovation in product design and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on engineering mindset, a strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and experience working in electro-mechanical or PCB manufacturing environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, evaluate, and improve product design, materials, tooling, and production processes to enhance manufacturability and quality.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, quality, finance, and other internal experts to define, test, and implement cost-effective and efficient production methods.

    • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and FOCUS methodologies to analyze workflow, space utilization, and process layout to maximize efficiency and product quality.

    • Partner with Quality to establish process controls and validation methods for new products.

    • Review and estimate production times, staffing levels, and related costs to support accurate planning and management decisions.

    • Communicate production capabilities, schedules, and requirements to facilitate coordination across departments.

    • Participate in equipment and vendor evaluations, supporting specification development and purchasing decisions for new tools and materials.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation in accordance with company standards.

    • Contribute to engineering and design reviews, providing feedback and supporting follow-up actions.

    • Participate in customer meetings to discuss technical requirements, timelines, and production considerations.

    • Keep leadership informed on project progress, workload, and potential concerns.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support engineering and production goals.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.

    • Minimum 1 year of experience using CAD software for design, drafting, and engineering documentation in a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience with manufacturing and process improvement methods, including electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, PCB, molding, or photonics production processes.

    • Familiarity with fabrication processes, tooling, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

    • Experience working in team-based engineering environments—capable of communicating, researching, and problem-solving collaboratively.
    • Knowledge of process control, equipment layout, workflow optimization, and production time and cost estimation.

    • Experience working within a document control system to maintain technical files and design documentation.
