    • Our client is a global manufacturer, with 12,000 employees and operations across seven countries, produces residential and commercial water heaters, boilers, and water treatment products. As a stable category leader, the company fosters a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing Lean and Six Sigma principles along with a strong commitment to safety and ergonomics.
    • In this Manufacturing Engineer role, the focus is on driving process improvements, managing capital projects, and applying design-for-manufacturability (DFM) strategies to enhance throughput, quality, and cost efficiency within a high-volume industrial plant.

    Responsibilities:

    • Apply ergonomic and safety standards across processes, equipment, and facilities
    • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using data and analysis
    • Assess new technologies/processes to lift efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost
    • Build capital justifications for tooling, equipment, and savings initiatives
    • Analyze labor/space/flow; design equipment and workspace layouts for max efficiency
    • Serve on Product Development System (PDS) teams to ensure DFM, tooling, and equipment readiness for launches
    • Partner with vendors on specifications; source equipment/materials; evaluate to quality standards
    • Estimate cycle times, staffing, and costs to inform management decisions
    • Collaborate with management/engineering on capacity, schedules, and constraints
    • Implement Lean tools: continuous improvement, kaizen/blitzes, Kanban, line balancing, TPM, takt time
    • Team with maintenance on troubleshooting, installations, and equipment setup

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
    • 5+ years’ related manufacturing engineering experience
    • Hands-on with Six Sigma, Lean, and continuous-improvement methodologies
    • Strong technical communication: reports, procedures, presentations to cross-functional groups
    • Proficient in applied math and statistics (probability, statistical inference, geometry/trig; fractions/percentages/ratios)
    • Demonstrated problem solving: define issues, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions
    • Ability to read/analyze technical procedures, standards, and regulations

    Compensation:

    • Base salary to 105k/year
