    PPS is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Engineer at our aluminum extrusion facility in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire role with a highly competitive starting pay rate, excellent benefits, and room for advancement!  

    The Manufacturing Engineer’s main roles are to provide engineering and project management support for the implementation of technical solutions in the extruding, painting, anodizing and fabrication of aluminum products. They will be involved in developing and implementing initiatives to improve company performance in the areas of operational capability, cost management, safety, productivity, and quality.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

    • Skills in project planning
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Technical understanding of basic hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Relentless focus on driving process stability.
    • Ability to lead, to collaborate and to execute.
    • Hands-on engineering with knowledge of automated systems.
    • People oriented with an innate ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and OEMs.
    • Capable of leading projects in a fast-paced, customer focused, manufacturing environment.
    • Experienced and trained in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
    • Degree in Engineering; Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Technology, or other relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
    • Trained in various manufacturing concepts and technologies.
    • Engineering experience in a manufacturing / plant environment preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with tech team to establish KPI’s ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity are monitored, corrected, and improved as required.
    • Collaborate with all departments to continuously improve company through waste reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
    • Assist in developing technical and operating capabilities.
    • Assist in preventive maintenance functions in establishing priorities and initiatives to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
    • Work with technical team to conceptualize, develop, test, and implement cutting edge technology.
    • Keep contacts and develop partnerships with leading suppliers in the industry to stay current with industry best practices.
    • Act as a project manager on manufacturing engineering activities ensuring program plan, resources, budget, and schedule are met.
    • Identify key process inputs for in control and capable and implement standardized systems.
