  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Responsible for evaluating alternatives leading to the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products to optimize cost and quality

    • Owns all aspects of process engineering, industrial engineering, production standard costs, tooling and equipment procurement

    • Improves operating performance, identifies and reduces waste, and troubleshoots manufacturing issues

    • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs

    • Applies knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials

    • Works with equipment vendors and gathers input from operators

    • Develops manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment

    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional societies

    • Identifies opportunities to improve products or reduce costs using fabrication, tooling, equipment, assembly, and quality standards

    • Determines root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommends corrective actions

    • Evaluates manufactured products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards

    • Implements new methods and processes to improve existing operations

    • Investigates and resolves operational problems such as material variances and bottlenecks

    • Prepares documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures

    • Provides technical expertise and support related to manufacturing

    • Coordinates scrap reduction, rework elimination, material and labor variance reduction, safety and ergonomic evaluations, and continuous improvement activities

    • Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports

    • Reads and interprets customer and industry specifications

    • Maintains proper documentation including traceability, customer requirements, and production routers

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

    • Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes including assembly and testing

    • Strong leadership skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Fluency in written and spoken English

    • 0–3 years of manufacturing or related experience

    • Proficiency with CAD software; AutoCAD is a plus
