    The Manufacturing Engineer will apply and develop skills within manufacturing and cross-functionally, to improve safety performance, support and lead product development, improve manufacturing productivity and efficiency, and be part of supportive team enabling continued growth.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    • Support the safety culture journey and always engage production colleagues in considering the safety implications of new product development, product improvements, capacity expansion projects, and efficiency improvements
    • Support the commitment to a healthy workplace culture
    • Facilitate the planning and implementation of workplace layout and flow, including in a new campus facility
    • Identify opportunities and implement cost-effective automation solutions for increased capacity, efficiency improvement, and to address safety challenges
    • Lead efforts in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives
    • Serve as a critical bridge between Product Development and Manufacturing to ensure alignment on new product development/product improvements and manufacturing safety/productivity/efficiency for high quality outcomes
    • Align with functional leads in Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping to ensure improvements are thorough and fully aligned with the business and customer expectations
    • Perform manufacturing capability assessments for new opportunities
    • Assess Bills of Material (BOM) design, structure, and accuracy to support growth
    • Leverage the ERP system to create electronic production schedules

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering
    • Several years of experience in lean manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and/or product engineering
    • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to workplace safety
    • Proven track record of successful project management to increase productivity, improve efficiency, decrease costs, and improve product quality
    • High comfort level working alongside production colleagues
    • Effective communication, collaboration and listening skills while showing empathy and respect
    • ERP and MES experience, with focus on bills of material (BOMs), cost accounting, standard manufacturing costs, production confirmations, and WIP/FG inventory management
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills cross-functionally and through all levels of the organization to manage priorities, align resources, and drive improvement
    • Demonstrated success in engaging production floor colleagues
