    Who We Are:

Carnegie Robotics designs and manufactures advanced robotics systems and components for defense, agricultural, mining, industrial, and off-road autonomy applications. Our ruggedized solutions can meet the challenges of any industry, providing effective and efficient answers for even the toughest problems.

    What We're Looking For:

Carnegie Robotics seeks outstanding students for our internships and co-ops. We view internships as excellent opportunities for us to learn about future potential full-time hires while also contributing to students' education and their understanding of work practices in an engineering setting. Many of our interns return annually and take on ever more challenging tasks. Please note that this is a full-time, on-site position.

We accept college sophomore, junior, senior, masters and PhD level students. In all cases we expect to see excellent grades, work ethic and a strong desire to accomplish goals. We pay well and set high standards for our interns.

    • Collaborating with technicians and engineers to aid in establishing the production processes by which products are manufactured to CRL standards to meet customer requirements
    • Creating and editing work instructions, ensuring an accurate documented process in a fast-paced changing environment
    • Working directly with multiple technicians, ensuring clarity and consistency of the visual and written instructions
    • Identifying process inefficiencies through process observation, data analytics, and review with assembly technicians; proposing and implementing Lean principles

Some examples of previous work include:

    • Implementing and conducting Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) testing for new mass flow leak test equipment and vacuum testing
    • Using additive manufacturing to create fixtures and tools for lean manufacturing

    • You have working knowledge of C++ and Python programming
    • You have work experience supporting a manufacturing environment
    • You have completed self-directed projects from problem statement to completion

Hourly wage range is based on education and experience
