  • Responsibilities
    • Timely investigation and development of methods of manufacturing to meet customer requirements

    • Interpret customer supplied engineering to develop outside processes

    • Interpret customer supplied engineering and NC program to develop internal processes

    • Incorporate all customer requirements (first articles, APQP, etc.)

    • Conduct review of methods of manufacturing

    • Upon order receipt to identify and communicate challenges with customer supplied engineering with program management to ensure timely resolution of any vague or problematic requirements

    • Prior to release of job to ensure proposed processes will be sufficient to support product production, (adequate documentation provided to support at machine inspections including inspection criteria, overall time aligns with quoted operation times, tooling and fixture choice aligns with standard best practices, and machine choice/op sequence choice aligns with engineered requirements and available capacity)

    • Following completion of job ensure sequencing and timing in method reflect actual production plan and durations, and all operation documentation is updated to ensure quoting team has the best available information for future job including closure of jobs immediately upon shipment of product

    • Develop all in process inspection documentation aligned with CMM program to facilitate in process, shop floor bench inspections for all dimensions that can be manually checked per customer requirements, as depicted on MFG ballooned drawings; develop work instructions and train production team on how to measure parts to ensure compliance to in process quality checks

    • Timely investigation and support any quality non conformances derived from the methods of manufacturing both internally and externally

    • Support in RCCA; develop control plans when necessary; support for any quality issues; provide necessary communication, training, and support

    • Address any system discrepancies including incorrect qty, incorrect operation completion, and incorrect material allocation when viewed during independent research on job progress

    • Communicate with operations management to identify the primary failure mode for system discrepancies

    • Develop and support in communication, training, and remediation of most common system discrepancies

    • Compliance to ISO and all training requirements

    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
