Injection Molding Technician
Direct Hire | Brainerd, MN | $35 - $45/hour DOQ

Summary:
Support daily injection molding operations by setting up machines, performing mold changeovers, troubleshooting process issues, and ensuring consistent part quality. Play a key role in optimizing production performance and maintaining a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a variety of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Install and align molds, adjust ram stroke, set temperatures and pressures, and run test cycles.
• Perform mold and material changeovers, coordinate with Production and Quality teams.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain consistent part quality.
• Identify cosmetic or dimensional defects and take corrective action.
• Dry and handle raw materials properly; monitor inventory and communicate with Purchasing.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues; escalate when needed.
• Assist with routine mold and machine maintenance.
• Document setups and maintain accurate process records.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A technical degree or vocational training is preferred.
• 5+ years of injection molding experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with mold setups, plastic materials, and machine operation required.
• Basic PC skills (Windows environment).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Able to interpret blueprints and process documentation.
