At Precision Colors, we make high-quality inks that our customers love — and we're growing fast. While the business has been around for 20 years, we're new owners (just 5 months in) with big plans to modernize and improve. The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing & Fulfillment Associate to help us keep up with demand and prepare for the next phase of growth. This role is a mix of ink production and order fulfillment — with plenty of room to learn and improve the process as we go.
Right now, things are pretty manual: you'll mix inks, operate a pump and heat sealer, bottle and label products, and pack orders for shipping. We're planning to purchase new equipment eventually that will make the process easier and more efficient — and we want someone excited to help us make that transition.
What You'll Do
- Mix inks, clean equipment between batches, and bottle products by semi-automated machines but also some by hand
- Print and apply labels, seal containers, and pack orders for shipment
- Use tools like scales, mixers, pumps, and heat sealers
- Keep an eye on quality and catch issues before they reach the customer
- Stay organized and help us improve systems over time
- Work closely with the owners (especially our COO) in a small-team environment
- Lift ink jugs, stand for long stretches, and wear clothes you don't mind getting stained
What Success Looks Like in Your First 3 Months
With our support and training, you'll:
- Confidently execute the ink manufacturing process on your own (asking questions as needed)
- Help us work through our order backlog and get ahead
- Become a key voice in how we improve our processes and roll out new equipment

The Details
- Part-time role, generally 9–5 Monday/Wednesday/Friday, with flexibility to move things around for the right candidate.
- Based in our Northbrook, IL warehouse/office
- Casual, fun, and focused team environment
- Training provided: you'll shadow, review SOPs, and learn by doing
