    JOB SUMMARY:

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Intern to support our engineering team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to various aspects of manufacturing processes, data analysis, continuous improvement projects, and optimization efforts. This internship is a great opportunity to build real-world skills and make a significant impact on the company's operations.

    · This is a full-time internship position with a duration of 10 weeks, Monday – Friday.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes for greater efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    Support the development of process flow diagrams, work instructions, and layouts.

    Gather and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement.

    Participate in time studies and process simulations to optimize workflows.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering-related issues.

    Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

    Support inventory management and supply chain optimization projects.

    Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for project updates

    Assist the Engineering team with tasks related to the development of new project information to support Production.

    Some coding experience is a plus.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

    Related Experience:

    Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and Industrial Engineering principles.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    Familiar with conducting research related to product data specifications

    Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CAD or process simulation software is a plus.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
