  • Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage multiple engineering projects from concept through completion.

    • Develop project scopes, generate cost estimates, and produce detailed drawings and specifications.

    • Ensure all designs meet relevant codes and regulations, including Hydro standards.

    • Prepare requisitions and work orders; provide direction to labor teams during project execution.

    • Collaborate with internal teams, equipment suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.

    • Perform design calculations, evaluate supplier proposals, select appropriate equipment, and manage vendor documentation and schedules.

    • Support maintenance and production teams by troubleshooting issues, recommending equipment upgrades, and resolving reliability concerns.

    • Maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation.

    • Provide clear and consistent communication on project timelines and progress across departments and with external partners.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

    • Professional Engineering License (PE), or certification as Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI)

    • 3+ years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally heavy industrial
