    Job Description

    ** Summary of Position**

    The Manufacturing Intern will support the organization and standardization of critical manufacturing documentation by creating a comprehensive binder (physical and/or digital) that consolidates procedures, standards, and records related to safety, quality, and productivity. This role will work closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure accurate, accessible, and up-to-date information.

    ** Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

    • Collect, review, and organize documentation related to safety procedures, quality standards, and productivity metrics
    • Develop a structured binder and/or digital repository with clear sections, indexing, and version control
    • Identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent documents and coordinate updates with appropriate teams
    • Standardize document formats, naming conventions, and revision tracking processes
    • Assist in creating or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and visual aids
    • Support the development of process flow diagrams and documentation tools
    • Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and applicable regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO)
    • Participate in shop floor walkthroughs to validate documentation accuracy against actual operations
    • Support continuous improvement efforts by documenting best practices and process enhancements
    • Present final documentation structure and recommendations for ongoing maintenance

    • Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma (preferred)
    • Experience with document control or technical writing (preferred

    ** Physical Requirements**

    • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently and participate in team lifts of approximately 60 pounds as required for essential production tasks.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position or move throughout the production floor for extended periods (for the duration of the shift up to 8+ hours per shift).
    • Must be able to operate, position, adjust, or move equipment, tools, or materials necessary for production processes.
    • Capable of performing consistent, manual production tasks over long shifts.
    • Must be able to work in typical manufacturing environmental conditions, including areas requiring PPE, exposure to noise, and temperature variation.
