    Job Overview

    The Fabrication Manager is responsible for leading all fabrication activities, ensuring efficient production, consistent quality, and adherence to safety and equipment standards. This role oversees daily workflow, manages fabrication personnel, drives process improvements, and ensures full alignment with the company’s manufacturing model. The manager is accountable for inventory processing related to parent materials, supporting organizational goals through effective planning, communication, and leadership.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Leadership & Management

    Apply LMC2 (Lead, Manage, Coach, Communicate) principles to create a high-performing fabrication team.

    Set clear direction, expectations, and performance feedback to all fabrication personnel.

    Ensure machine safety standards and operating procedures are consistently upheld.

    Support employee development through coaching, training, and skill-building opportunities.

    1. Fabrication Oversight & Execution

    Own and oversee all fabrication processes, ensuring equipment, workflow, and methods are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.

    Set clear priorities for work that align with the company’s manufacturing model and production schedule.

    Coordinate daily production activities to meet deadlines, quality standards, and throughput goals.

    Ensure all fabrication documentation, work instructions, and SOPs are current and followed consistently.

    1. Safety, Quality & Compliance

    Ensure all machine safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and equipment standards are upheld.

    Enforce company safety policies and uphold established safe work practices across all fabrication activities.

    1. Inventory & Material Management

    Maintain responsibility for parent inventory processing, including tracking, consumption, reconciliation, and reporting.

    Ensure material availability for production, collaborating with the Inventory Manager and other warehouse teams.

    Oversee proper handling, storage, and movement of raw material to prevent shortages, damage, or waste.

    1. Continuous Improvement & Efficiency

    Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase throughout, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.

    Optimize equipment utilization and recommend upgrades or maintenance needs.

    Create instructions and standard operating procedures for fabrication processes.

    Use data to evaluate performance metrics, solve problems, and drive decision‑making.

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

    Proven experience in leadership or management, preferably in an operational or production-based environment.

    Ability to guide teams, resolve issues, and maintain strong communication.

    Solid problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.

    Experience with process improvement or workflow optimization is a plus.

    Familiarity with fabrication or manufacturing environments is helpful but not required.
