    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Collaborate with production teams, supply chain, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of products.

    Review and interpret designs and drawings to ensure product requirements.

    Assist in assigned special projects and improvements

    Utilize ERP system and scheduling tools to analyze capacity, identify bottlenecks, track production, and implement solutions to enhance overall production performance.

    Monitor inventory levels, anticipate material requirements, and coordinate between the warehouse and procurement to ensure adequate supplies and address any shortages.

    Implement and refine scheduling processes to adapt to changing production demands and improve overall responsiveness.

    Communicate schedule changes, delays, or issues to relevant stakeholders and work collaboratively to address any challenges.

    Analyse historical data and production metrics to improve scheduling accuracy and effectiveness continuously.

    Obtaining quotations for subcontract service

    Placing and expediting purchase orders for subcontract services

    Working with the Receiving team to develop efficient processing of incoming materials.

    Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing scheduling.

    Ensuring that all tasks are carried out safely and per Company safety guidelines.

    Promoting by example site H&S in the day-to-day conduct of this role.

    Maintain a clean and safe working area/environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Effective communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

    Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.

    In‐depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software (SAGE preferred).

    Work in a team environment and respect the timescale/deliveries.

    Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

    Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

    Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within the scope of the role.

    Assist with inventory control.

    Cover other areas of the operation within your scope of competency as and when business requirements are dictated.

    WORKING CONDITIONS The Manufacturing Planner/Engineer will work in an office within a manufacturing facility, but with considerable interface with shopfloor personnel where there is machinery operating. The role may involve exposure to heat, noise, dust, and chemicals typical of a machining/fabrication environment. Adherence to health and safety protocols is crucial to ensure a safe work environment.
