    Job Description

    Summary: **** The Manufacturing Planner supports Manufacturing Engineers creating the work instructions and allocation of parts / material to production departments (engineering drawings, process specifications, sales orders, and change notices) for the fabrication process and assembly of the finished part. The Manufacturing Engineering Director or designee will define specific responsibilities for each Manufacturing Planner.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

    • Responsible for the accuracy of the work instructions as directed by a Manufacturing Engineer.
      • Compliance with customer/product procurement specifications.
      • Ensure that all engineering changes are implemented.
      • Validate that the manufacturing process meets all customer and internal requirements.
      • Apply operation time standards as required.
    • Responsible for clear and concise work instructions of detail parts, sub-assemblies, and top assemblies.
    • Will assist with projects / planning of machining, forming, stamping, heat treating, and chemical processing of the following materials:
      • Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum & Stainless Steel
    • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
    • Other duties with the work as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High School degree or GED with 2+ years of experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of Excel/Word is required (pivot tables, IF statement, V-look up, editing, writing, etc)
    • Attention to detail with intermediate computer skills
    • Experience in manufacturing work instructions for sheet metal forming, welding, machining and heat treating to aerospace industry standards is a plus.

    Required Skills:

    • Language: Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T. Ability to read and understand technical specifications and apply to work instructions.
    • Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Mathematical Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Other Abilities: Must possess basic knowledge of NDT (visual inspection, penetrant inspection, radiographic inspection, proof pressure test, leak test, etc.). Familiarity with manufacturing-based ERP systems. Knowledge of Infor XA is a plus.
    • Results Oriented: Ability to multitask and change priorities when required to support business goals.

    Target Rate = $20/hour
