About the Role:
OPTIMA INC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Print Applicator to join their team in Shrewsbury, MA. Responsibilities:
Read production schedules and ready appropriate materials and supplies based on work order requirements
Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical instructions
Select proper materials based on work order
Handle and maneuver delicate vinyl prints
Apply vinyl printed material to various substrates from small 9" x 12" lap boards to full-sized 5' x 12' sized dry erase boards using lamination tables and wet application with precision and consistency maintaining high attention to detail and measurements
Operate an application table to ensure on-time delivery, safety, and quality standards are met
Safely and responsibly handle blades (exact knives, razor blades, cutting table, etc.)
Trim all stock and custom prints down to appropriate size with various cutting tools
Communicate process issues and report equipment malfunctions or defects to supervisors promptly utilizing the Escalation Plan
Monitor and record all waste with provided worksheets
Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion
Inspect incoming build materials for quality
Communicate and assist with up/down stream production to ensure on-time delivery
Monitor, communicate, and escalate material and product levels to ensure sufficient inventory levels
Build a knowledge of OptiMA product lines and build components
Cross train for other job functions and perform those functions as needed
Occasionally assemble framing to various sizes of boards up to 5’ x 12’ to ensure on-time delivery, safety, and quality standards are met
Occasionally assemble, boxing, and moving of large, finished print goods
Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with safety standards
Complete preventative maintenance on equipment per weekly reports
Desired Experience:
Requirements:
Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, print application, or production environment of one year is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks
Proficiency with measurements and basic math skills
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production tools and equipment
Ability to read and follow work orders or technical specifications
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work unscheduled and scheduled overtime as required
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
