What You’ll Do:
As the Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will lead quality operations on the production floor and support cross-functional improvement initiatives to elevate product standards. Key responsibilities include:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of In-Process Inspectors, QA Technicians, and Finished Goods Specialists.
Oversee and maintain quality system documentation and records.
Conduct mold validations, cross-qualifications, and post-mold repair capability studies.
Perform daily 5S audits to drive workplace organization and efficiency.
Lead and participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) programs.
Approve and review visual inspections using Quality Assurance Requirements (QARs) and General Appearance Samples (GAS).
Conduct line clearances for start-ups and restarts.
Inspect production output and verify conformance to quality standards.
Collaborate with Process Technicians on adjustment requests and resolution of quality issues.
Enforce escalation protocols for quality or equipment deviations.
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of QARs, line clearances, and visual inspection methods.
Hands-on experience with 5S, CAPA processes, and quality system audits.
Familiarity with molding processes, including injection molding.
Proficiency with tools such as Gauge R&R and capability studies.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in quality engineering.
