PLANT CONTROLLER – HEAVY INDUSTRY
Our client is looking for a Plant Controller for their Manufacturing operation in the greater Monroe, LA area. The Plant Controller, a strategic business partner with the Plant Lead team, will be responsible for all Financial responsibilities, including Manufacturing analysis for this plant.
- Plant Controller reports directly to the Regional Controller, with a dotted line to the Plant Manager.
KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- 5 years of experience as a Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment
- 10+ years of accounting and financial experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4+ years of strong, positive Leadership skills
- 3+ years Cost Accounting experience
- Experience working as a Business Partner
- Proven experience performing analysis – Financial & Operating analysis in a Manufacturing Plant operation.
- Some travel as needed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work/interact with different levels of the organization at the Plant & Regional Level.
- Must be a strategic thinker, be able to plan and forecast and good planning, forecasting
- Must have strong presentation skills
- Adaptable to change
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
- Masters, CMA or MBA a plus.
SOFTWARE:
- Microsoft Office experience required. Must be strong in MS Excel.
- Must be able to create Financial presentations in MS Powerpoint.
- Experience with ERP systems. SAP experience highly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Responsibility for all financial aspects of the Plant Operations, including:
- Provide Leadership and direction for managing the Plant’s Financial Position, Financial Interpretation, Assets, Procurement Activity & Internal Controls.
- Directs and completes the Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting processes of the Operation.
- Monitors the financial policies, practices and procedures of the operation.
- Successfully completes Monthly Closing cycles to...properly reflect the Plant’s financial position, including: P&L, Loss, Capital Base and Cash from Operations. Lead monthly and quarterly reporting and presentations
- Provide financial analysis support/guidance to all Line Managers and Plant Manager.
- Ensures necessary internal controls (and compensating controls) to safeguard the Company’s Assets and adheres to the company’s financial management policies.
