Manufacturing Specialist (Automated Cell Triage & QA)

Company: Wolfram Manufacturing, Inc. (Austin, TX)

    Compensation: $25.00/hr + Overtime (1.5x)

    Job Type: Full-Time

The Role: Wolfram Manufacturing runs highly automated machining processes. We are not looking for a traditional operator to stand in front of a single machine all day. We are looking for a highly observant, analytical Manufacturing Specialist to act as the first line of defense across a shop full of CNC machines. You will be the first responder when our systems halt a machine, the primary investigator for tool wear, and the active quality assurance lead on the floor.

    What You Will Do:

Active Quality Assurance: Inspect parts looking for bad indicators rather than just certifying good ones. In addition to measuring parts, you will use visual cues, like changes in tool path finishes, to catch errors early.

Machine Triage: Monitor over a dozen automated CNC machines. When a machine stops or throws a horsepower TMAC alarm, you diagnose the tool and part condition, check fluids, and analyze the charts.

Make Comps: Make small, precise adjustments (comps) to current programs to keep parts in spec.

Deburring & Finishing: Perform delicate part finishing and deburring (required before full inspection).

Prioritization: Logically manage your time when multiple machines need attention. Know exactly when to put a machine on "hold" and escalate to support rather than wasting time/material or risking damage to a machine.

    Physical Requirements:

Must be comfortable on your feet for 9-hour shifts.

Requires steady hands, manual dexterity, and excellent eyesight for deburring and visual QA.

Occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs.
