Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer will have hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems). This role will help ensure the smooth functioning and integration of our factory's digital infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on ERP stability, system uptime, and production efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of core ERP systems including SAP, MES, and WMS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and system workflows.
- Provide advanced system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing support.
- Analyze, document, and communicate system problems and solutions in both Mandarin and English.
- Lead system upgrades, patch management, and ensure high availability of critical systems.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve system performance and business productivity.
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical point of escalation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and security best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior system engineering or infrastructure role.
- Proven experience with SAP, MES, and WMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and logistics systems integration.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies, networking, and system security.
- Strong scripting and automation skills are a plus (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Ability to handle high-pressure production environments with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English - both spoken and written communication.
- Prior experience working in smart factory or high-tech manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 or other compliance frameworks is a plus.
- PMP or ITIL certifications are a plus.
