    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Support Technician to provide technical support for computer systems, manufacturing equipment, production workstations, and information technology within a manufacturing environment.

    This position will help maintain hardware, software, network connectivity, manufacturing applications, and automated equipment to keep production running efficiently and minimize downtime.

    The ideal candidate will have a background in IT, manufacturing systems, industrial technology, or automation and enjoy troubleshooting technical issues in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support for manufacturing systems, automated equipment, production workstations, barcode scanners, label printers, industrial PCs, and related equipment.
    • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing software, operating systems, and hardware.
    • Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and production reporting applications.
    • Respond to production support requests and resolve system issues affecting manufacturing operations.
    • Troubleshoot network connectivity for manufacturing equipment, including switches, wireless devices, and industrial network components.
    • Perform software updates, equipment replacements, system backups, and preventive maintenance.
    • Work with Production, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
    • Maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment inventories.
    • Assist with the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
    • Support data collection systems, handheld devices, printers, and automation interfaces.
    • Escalate complex technical issues to Engineering, vendors, or senior IT personnel when necessary.
    • Follow company safety, quality, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology , or a related field, OR equivalent work experience.
    • Experience supporting computer systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Experience with automated assembly processes, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
    • Basic PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
    • Basic robotic troubleshooting and programming experience, including 3-axis and 6-axis robots.
    • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
    • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Ethernet.
    • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting MES or ERP systems.
    • Familiarity with industrial networking.
    • Experience with PLCs and automation equipment.
