Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician is a comprehensive role within the Cannabis Manufacturing Department, responsible for performing production, packing-processing tasks, and supporting workflow planning. This role requires in-depth knowledge of cannabis extraction machinery, methods, and compliance requirements, ensuring consistent high-quality products while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Extraction & Production:
- Operate and troubleshoot various extraction machinery, including solventless, CO2, and ethanol systems.
- Perform extraction, post-processing, and packaging tasks for concentrates, vape cartridges, and infused products.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure batch consistency, potency, and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Lead Technician to plan and optimize production workflow.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate production records, including METRC/DCC entries and compliance logs.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance at all times.
- Support Lead Technician in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance:
- Perform regular cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of extraction and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and escalate complex problems to the Lead Technician.
Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with Production Supervisors and other department teams to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in cannabis extraction/manufacturing or lab environments.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple cannabis extraction methods and machinery.
- Strong understanding of closed loop cannabis manufacturing principles and efficiency enhancement techniques.
- Hands-on experience with post-processing, packaging, and infused product production.
- Proven leadership experience in a production with a strong understanding of production processes and techniques.
- Familiarity with DCC/METRC compliance systems.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, highly regulated production environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain mobility throughout production areas.
- Manual dexterity for equipment operation and packaging tasks.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive movements, including stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature and humidity changes.
Work Environment:
- Indoor and greenhouse cultivation areas, drying rooms, freezer rooms, extraction labs, and warehouse spaces.
- Fast-paced production environment with exposure to odors, CO2 enrichment, allergens, and chemical agents.
- May require extended hours, evenings, and weekends depending on production demand.

Experience:
