Manufacturing Technician (First and Second Shift)

As we expand, we are seeking dedicated Manufacturing Technicians for both first and second shifts to support our growing operations.
You will play a crucial role in the production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met. This position offers the opportunity to work on either the first shift or second shift, depending on your preference and availability.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Technician will apply various machining and/or weld technologies and skills to ensure quality & timely completion of work orders. Grip-Tite will train the right people with sound virtues regardless of prior machining / welding experience.

FOCUS:
· Operates various machinery (mix of new and old) used to produce Grip-Tite parts and products.
· Works in a variety of manufacturing cells that utilize saws, drills, welders, plasma cutters, punches, etc.
· May be trained on stamping presses or laser operations.
· May operate a forklift as needed once trained.
· Maintains equipment and work areas. Keeps area(s) clean and free of safety hazards.
· Must be able to fill out required paperwork completely and accurately.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Must have a positive attitude and ensure and holds oneself accountable to work as one team to ensure Grip-Tite's overall success.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
· Manufacturing/Industrial environment exposure preferred.
· High school diploma or equivalent or at least 1-year experience.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, SOPs, and other instruction manuals.
· Take the initiative to keep all areas clean and safe.
· Follow applicable housekeeping and safety procedures.
· Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. on a consistent basis as needed.
· Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high periodically.
· Provides assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects.
· Must wear personal protective equipment - ear plugs, steel toe shoes and protective glasses and other PPE as required in work cell based on a hazard assessment.
· Maintains a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments.
EDUCATION:
· High School Diploma
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day with the ability to be mobile throughout required work areas. The employee may frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work inside a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to changing temperatures (hot, cold, humid), moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. The noise level in the work environment can be loud; vibration levels are moderate.
