Manufacturing Technician II – CNC / Production
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and versatile Manufacturing Technician II to support day-to-day production operations in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role that includes CNC machine support, part inspection, light assembly, saw operation, and general production duties.
The ideal candidate has some manufacturing experience, is comfortable working from drawings and specifications, and can use basic precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality work, and is willing to help wherever needed to keep production moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload parts from CNC machines to support production schedules.
- Inspect finished and in-process parts to verify they meet specifications and engineering drawings.
- Measure parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
- Perform light assembly according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate saws and other basic production equipment as needed.
- Follow established safety procedures when operating machinery and handling materials.
- Perform general production and shop support duties, including:
- Emptying dumpsters.
- Replacing and servicing scrap bins.
- Moving materials as needed.
- Maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Assist machinists, production employees, and other team members as needed.
- Follow established quality standards, work instructions, and production procedures.
- Identify and communicate quality or production concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or production environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Experience using or willingness to learn precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to follow established safety procedures and work instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform a variety of production and general shop duties based on daily needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous CNC machine or machining-related experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Experience performing quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Previous assembly, saw operation, or production support experience.
