Manufacturing and Process Engineer
Job Description
Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing and Process Engineer at our Ulbrich Shaped Wire division in North Haven, CT. The Manufacturing and Process Engineer will partner with maintenance and production on developing and implementing continuous improvement projects. This position provides technical support on machine downtime, preventative actions, and quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is preferred plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Strong problem-solving skills are required.
Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts and Quality tools and systems.
Proficient with computers, CAD, or other technology needed to accomplish engineering goals.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to acquire new skills improving efficiency and project quality.
Experience with rapid prototyping methods.
The ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment.
Must be comfortable with dynamic work conditions and efficient decision making.
