    Manutek Manufacturing is actively seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for the Day Shift at our Estacada, OR location. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing software programs to instruct CNC machines in cutting and shaping metal for diverse applications. The CNC Programmer will utilize 3-dimensional computer designs (CAD models) and blueprints to define the configuration of the desired component. A key aspect of the role involves leveraging expertise in software programs to generate precise program codes, guiding CNC machines in efficient and safe machining operations to produce accurately finished components. Proficiency in using MasterCam software for generating program codes to control CNC machine operations is a vital requirement for this position.     Essential Responsibilities:

    Proficient in programming CNC equipment, including Lathes, Milling Centers, Multi-Axis Mills, and additional accessory equipment as necessary.

    Competent in reviewing blueprints and programming from CAD models offline using CAM software, ensuring efficient product production.

    Analyze work orders to determine optimal methods for product manufacturing.

    Possess strong mathematical skills, including algebra, and the ability to perform standard shop computations involving geometry and trigonometry for angular and linear dimensions, tooling, and machining speeds and feeds.

    Perform calculations to identify precise cutting locations for materials.

    Develop the most efficient sequence of machining steps.

    Generate setup sheets and tool lists for machining processes.

    Determine the optimal selection of tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures.

    Conduct simulation tests, gather relevant data, and make necessary adjustments.

    Perform quality testing and enhance program code to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

    Collaborate with fellow programmers, shop floor management, machinists/setup operators to find solutions for capacity planning and quality enhancement.

    Undertake additional duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming.

    Strong knowledge of CNC machines is essential.

    Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English, along with the ability to perform basic shop math calculations and accurately follow verbal and written instructions.

    Experience in Lean/setup reduction and mistake-proofing techniques.

    Familiarity with design software such as Creo Pro E and other related tools.

    General computer proficiency, including experience with MS Office applications like Excel, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.

    Preferred skills in MasterCam software

    Experience in macro programming is advantageous.

    Ability for 3-dimensional thinking.

    Strong attention to detail.

    Capable of working independently.

    Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.

    Comfortable taking responsibility and being accountable for work.

    Excellent communication skills.
