We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant in Buffalo.

The successful candidate will have a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists to
• Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient's status and reporting it to a physical therapist
• Help patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care and treat patients, using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching
• Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
• Serve as a liaison to residents, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for residents needs
• Record patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist, working with them to discuss and evaluate resident information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment
• Clean treatment areas and set up therapy equipment
• Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric residents
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current PTA license in NYS required
• Previous PTA experience preferred
• Experience in long term care preferred
• Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
• Strong customer service skills and compassion
