    Parenting Time Facilitator/Engagement Specialist

    Maple Star Colorado is a multi-service agency providing Foster Care, Clinical and Community Services. Maple Star began providing foster care in Denver in 1994 and has since grown to provide in-home, community and office based services throughout the Front Range. Our trauma informed approach to working with children and families is evidenced is all of our programs with a focus on healing, relationship and providing high quality client care.

    Maple Star’s team is known for its professionals who are committed to providing quality services, and is looking for a Parenting Time Facilitator/Engagement Specialist. This is a dual role and will be on two different teams. The Parenting Time Facilitator provides trauma-informed visitation supervision and family coaching support to families after a removal has occurred, during scheduled appointments at Maple Star Family Services Center, in the Community, or at the Department of Human Services offices, when needed. Therapeutic. Supervision may also be provided when required. The Engagement Specialist provides case management and diligent search services to children in need of permanency solutions.

    Qualifications:

    Experience working with children and families

    Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field

    Bilingual in Spanish required

    Effective organizational skills including the ability to think clearly and logically; to problem solve effectively; written and oral communication skills; and the ability to function with minimal supervision

    Knowledge of local agencies and other community resources that may serve youth, families, and foster care services

    Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution, knowledge of child development and child welfare system

    Experience using and creating Excel spreadsheets

    Proof of valid Driver License with clean driving record, as well as valid auto insurance

    CPR/First Aid – provided by agency
