    Maple Star Colorado is a multi-service agency providing Foster Care, Clinical and Community Services. Maple Star began providing foster care in Denver in 1994 and has since grown to provide in-home, community and office based services throughout the Front Range.     Brief Job Summary: The Clinical Division Director is responsible for the oversight of all clinical services that occur within the agency, including implementing policies and procedures related to quality assurance. The Clinical Division Director is also responsible for providing clinical supervision to direct supervisees and as well as Clinical Supervisors.

    Essential Job Duties:

    Responsible for oversight that individualized clinical and case management services are being provided to youth, family care providers, and birth families as appropriate. These services may include, but not be limited to, assessments; service team meetings; individual and family therapy; case management services; social integration services; and aftercare services.

    Responsible for oversight ensuring that treatment plans are developed for youth in care, identifying and monitoring the necessary support services and identifying plans for the purchase and implementation of the necessary services.

    Responsible for HR functions and maintaining staff census and productivity to achieve budget goals.

    Responsible for training new therapists to ensure adherence to Maple Star clinical philosophy and approach.

    Case consultation and ongoing training for all clinicians.

    Supervision should occur a minimum of two times per month, with at least, one being face to face, and the other can be in the form of group supervision. Each meeting should be documented.

    In conjunction with the Director of Operations, administer quality assurance programs, develop and implement a complete program evaluation plan, and prepare and analyze statistical data on youth in placement. Program evaluation is subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

    To assist with the implementation of agency budget, policies and procedures, and practice guides, and ensure staff compliance. In addition, will support Director of Operations in projecting revenue twice monthly.

    To assist with appropriate service authorizations.

    To work actively as a Maple Star Colorado team member, promoting and participating in team meetings, staffing’s, and supervision; attainment of quarterly and annual goals; and the team concept. To participate as an active member in the Leadership Management team.

    To share the Administrative "On-Call" responsibilities with other members of the Administrative Team.

    To engage in program enhancements and development in conjunction with program staff, Director of Operations, and the Executive Director.

    To oversee, monitor, and review work diaries and productivity reports to determine trends and opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.

    To market clinical services to current and potential referral agents.

    To conduct assessments of new referrals when needed.

    Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

    Education And Training:

    Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required, License required.

    Minimum of two years, post Master’s degree, experience in providing therapy to youth, including experience in the field of foster care and child welfare.

    Minimum of five years supervisory experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    Knowledge and use of a conceptual framework for child and adolescent development, emotional and behavior problems, parenting, crisis intervention, and a range of treatment modalities including foster care.

    Knowledge and management expertise as demonstrated by the skills necessary to supervise

    personnel; develop and administer budgets, adhere to applicable standards and regulations;

    develop and implement goals; and maintain agency policies and standards.

    Effective organizational skills including the ability to think clearly and logically; to problem solve effectively; written and oral communication skills; and the ability to function with minimal supervision.

    Knowledge of a variety of theories, principles, and concepts for therapeutic practice with individuals and families, including well developed diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills.

    Knowledge and expertise of quality assurance, program evaluation, statistics, and database analysis.

    Other Requirements:

    Must be willing to submit for fingerprinting and a background criminal check.

    Background criminal check must meet the Colorado State Department of Social Service requirements for personnel working in the child welfare system.

    Valid Colorado Driver's License and a clean motor vehicle record.
