    Collaborative Certification Support Specialist

    Looking to do meaningful work helping others in the community as a Collaborative Certification Support Specialist?

    Maple Star Colorado, part of Pathways – one of the largest national providers of accessible, outcome-based behavioral and mental health services, is in search of a compassionate, caring, growth-minded Collaborative Certification Support Specialist.

    Expected Pay: $15 - $16 per hour

    This position is expected to work 20 – 29 hours per week.

    About your Role:

    The Collaborative Program Recruitment Partnership Program for Foster Care Support Specialist is responsible for administrative support of recruitment and certification activities of foster homes in partnership with the Collaborative Foster Care Program (CFCP) and Maple Star Colorado. This position also includes working with the referred homes through certification and renewal process and may also include providing pre-certification training to the candidates. The position will be collocated at the CFCP and may have additional responsibilities to support successful certification of homes beyond.

    Support to CFCP and Maple Star Certification teams:

    Follow up with prospective certified kinship families who have been approved to move forward by the designated county Kinship Certification Caseworker

    Pre-screen prospective kinship referrals from Jefferson, Douglas and Arapahoe County(s) to ensure they meet minimum criminal background qualifications and describe to applicant’s basic certification process and requirements

    Utilize agency identified database to process and track certification documents- set up applicants in database and provide technical support to families in accessing the system

    Communication regarding process or observed barriers with Kinship Navigator or Permanency Caseworker

    Assist applicants in registration in initial required trainings

    Provide updates on certification progress and refer applicants to Maple Star for SAFE Home Study evaluation.

    Assist CFCP certification team in completion of all precertification and recertification documentation and processes through communication and interaction with applicants and certification team

    Participation in team meetings and supervisions with CFCP teams, and interface with Maple Star

    Participation in Douglas County Red Team, Family Planning Meeting

    Designated support tasks as defined through collaboration with the CFCP

    Certification of Kinship & Foster Families in Compliance with Colorado Foster Regulations

    In person meetings with Collaborative Partnership families in certification process to support them with completion of the certification paperwork.

    Support and assist with certification training of all CFCP families as available and assigned.

    To monitor that all required paperwork and background searches of the certification process is completed in a timely manner according to State Volume 7 regulations.

    Keep current and organized records that includes the number of families in process, those licensed, and any other pertinent data.

    Be familiar with and follow all state regulations regarding kinship care, foster care and adoption licensing.

    Does the Following Apply to You?

    Minimum of High school diploma with (1) year of relevant experience in one of the following fields: human relations, social services, behavioral/social sciences, non-profit, education, or child development.

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.

    The contractor will have proof of a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving records, as well as valid automotive insurance. The contractor will possess the ability to pass a fingerprint criminal background check and Trails check.

    1 years of relevant experience in addition to High school diploma\

    Experience within Foster Care system & knowledge of Vol 7 Colorado State Rules & Regulations

    Job experience preferred in one of the following fields: human relations, social services, behavioral/social sciences, nonprofit, education, or child development preferred

    Proof of valid Driver License with clean driving record, as well as valid auto insurance
