    Our Mission

At Maple Star we help build brighter futures for children and families who have experienced trauma, and help to strengthen and equip families with useful tools to be successful.

    Who We Are

Maple Star is a specialized community service agency that provides safe, stable, and healing homes for children who have experienced trauma. We continually need foster parents that will care for and equip these children to live healthy and productive lives. The primary distinction between Maple Star and other agencies can be found in our foundational emphasis on physical and emotional healing through the context of relationship. Here at Maple Star we have 25 years of combine experience in foster care. Paramount to the healing process is a true understanding of the impact of trauma on the brain. With this understanding, foster parents can create healing environments that focus on the mind-body connection.

    Make a Difference in a Child’s Life

If you have the desire to make a difference in a child’s life, there are many ways you can help them in reaching their full potential. From providing respite, therapeutic foster care, fostering to adopt, providing support as they safely reunify or guiding them as they safely transition to adulthood, you can be that helping hand that secures a child’s future.

Maple Star of Nevada values the importance of ensuring that our children placed in foster care can live in homes that nurture recovery and permanency. Foster parenting and adoption involves providing a stable home and family for a child and giving that child a chance to heal, grow and develop. Foster and adoptive parents help children through a difficult time; it’s a job for people who can provide safety and structure along with love and guidance.

Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) services provide a stable home environment for children with families who care for and believe every youth can achieve their full potential. We equip foster families with tools, such as parental skill building and behavioral coping skills ensuring a youth’s physical and emotional well-being. We are here to support you and your family on your journey as foster parents:

In-home support for youth and family

    24/7 on-call support

    Youth enrichment support

    Grief & Attachment Support

    Respite

    Ongoing training, support and development
