Maple Star Nevada, part of Pathways – one of the largest national providers of accessible, outcome-based behavioral and mental health services, is in search of a compassionate, caring, growth-minded Therapist-Intern.
About Your Role:
Maple Star Nevada is looking for a Therapist-Intern to ensure mental health treatment services are provided in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment. Provide individual and group counseling services to reduce symptoms of DSM 5 diagnoses. This position offers a $1000 hiring bonus!Functions of This Role:
Provides individual (adult and children), group, and family therapy
Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning
Evaluates data to identify causes of the problem of individuals and to determine advisability of counseling or may refer to other specialist or institutions
Conducts counseling or therapeutic interviews to assist individuals to gain insight into personal problems, define goals, and planning action reflecting interests, abilities, and needs
Follows up results of counseling to determine reliability and validity of treatment used
Documents in the medical record according to requirements of the company and regulatory agencies
Provides crisis intervention consultation
May be required to provide a minimum number of hours weekly, as specified by the supervisor
May provide consultation and recommendations to human services agencies
Participates in program development and staff in-services
Provides crisis intervention consultation
Participates in staff meetings as required
Does the Following Apply to You?
Master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Must be licensed as LCSW, MFT, CPC, or an intern in these areas.
Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
Minimum of three years experience with mental health patients (in and out
Must have clinical knowledge regarding evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Intermediate PC skills required
