    About Your Role:

    Parent Mentors are responsible for providing direct support, training, and assisting parents and caregivers in navigating systems of care for youth in their home. Parent Mentors develop structured and positive relationships with Caregivers that empower them to succeed in parenting youth impacted by trauma. Services are primarily delivered in a community setting, to parents who are caring for youth with identified behavioral and/or mental health concerns. Parent mentoring is client driven and provided during times identified as most relevant to the consumer (including nights, early mornings, and occasional weekends). Parent mentors will use a combination of modalities including Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving in order to accomplish specific goals identified with the consumer.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide direct parent mentoring services to consumers, primarily in a community setting

    Work as a service team member for consumer with frequent communication with other team members

    Respond to referrals for new consumers within 24-hour timeline

    Provide indirect services for consumers (contacting caseworkers or service team members, documentation, travel time)

    Provide a minimum of 25 billable service hours per week

    Regular and frequent communication with caregivers to “check-in” and/or provide additional support

    1:1 individualized training

    Regular and frequent driving to meet consumer needs; including consumer transportation

    Identifying appropriate location and timing of Parent mentoring with consumers (including unconventional hours such as late nights, early mornings, and/or on occasional weekends)

    Timely completion of service plans, case notes, and reports (includes daily, weekly, and monthly reporting)

    Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the program and/or company

    Does the Following Apply to You?

    A minimum of a High School Diploma1 year of relevant experience (additional education or life experience may substitute)

    Valid Driver License with clean driving record

    CPR/First Aid – provided by agency

    Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) – provided by agency

    Collaborative Problem Solving Tier 1- provided by agency

    Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
