    Job Description Position Summary

    Maple Street Biscuit Company (MSBC) is a fast-casual breakfast and lunch restaurant. We have a mission to help people, serve others, and be a part of the community. We operate on 4 core principles: Comfort Food with a Modern Twist Made Consistently, Gracious Service, Immaculately Clean, and Sustainable Business. We are currently looking for a Director of Training in the Nashville, TN area to join our Family Support Team (Headquarters). This newest team member will be responsible for building training curriculum throughout all MSBC levels and locations. We have aggressive expansion plans and want a family member who has the skills and passion to grow with us.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Director of Training will identify training needs, collaborate with HR and Operations to develop program strategy, develop and implement multimedia training, and evaluate the effectiveness of employee development programs and measure their impact on the employee experience and productivity.

    Research new ways of thinking across all aspects of training (technology, communication tools, learning styles, etc.). Develop processes and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of communications and training materials.

    Collaborate with Family Support and store level leadership to identify opportunities for training improvement, develop of Community Leaders in Training, identifying long-term & short-term goals. Perform training needs assessment for gaps in performance and develop consistent training solutions that align with business objectives

    Design, conduct, and evaluate training program, workshops, and classes for all levels of MSBC Leadership that enhance leadership experience and engagement.

    Focus the leadership training to prepare new Community Leaders for current and future operational challenges. Work to ensure that all Community Leaders in Training are prepared to successfully handle business challenges. Review and provide input on other programs impacting employee experience and productivity.

    Handle the development and implementation of interactive multimedia training courses. Identify the appropriate technology to deliver training content. Review training objectives and advise on the proper training media. Monitor the effectiveness of all training media. Evaluate the impact of all training programs and measures their impact on the employee experience and productivity.

    Work to minimize demotions and terminations at the store leadership level by providing individual planning, development, and direction for the Mission Manager Coach and Community Leaders.

    Oversee the employee experience and productivity including skills training, position/responsibilities, cross training, and promotion/career advancement.

    Collaborate with Family Support, Mission Manager Coach, and Community Leaders to identify rising stars and coordinate appropriate training path.

    Plan, schedule, implement, and conduct follow up meetings for our monthly Leadership Training.

    Qualifications

    7 years of experience in employee training & development (Restaurant or Retail operations and/or training experience preferred.

    Knowledge and demonstrated experience with instructional design process, adult learning techniques, effective training methods and visual course design.

    Experience with on-line training technology.

    Strong oral and written communication skills

    Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills

    Excellent interpersonal skills

    Ability to travel when needed

    Must have a servant leadership style to work with field leadership as well as with Family Support
