Maple Street Biscuit Company (MSBC) is a fast-casual breakfast and lunch restaurant. MSBC is looking for a Catering Manager to join our Family Support Team and meet the needs of our rapid growth! This role will be responsible for centralizing catering operations and developing processes to grow existing business while soliciting new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing.
We are looking for an individual with strong leadership and relationship management skills with a proven track record in building and maintaining a successful catering program. The Catering Manager is to be based out of MSBC Headquarters in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role will require some travel. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Catering Manager will execute the strategy and vision for MSBC’s catering business to increase catering sales across the board. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Centralize and collect existing catering leads while partnering with Community Leaders to fulfill all orders
Partner with and train Community Leaders to produce new business through marketing tactics/activities with local business, planning groups and associations while maintaining a professional relationship with existing accounts
Conduct research on the current state of the restaurant industry, including analyzing market trends, consumer behavior patterns, technology advancements, and competitor activity
Develop tactics within a strategic planning framework to drive catering sales along with other forms of business
Build Catering Client database through exist and future CRM platforms, including ezCater Corporate Solutions
Work closely with Family Support department leads to plan and review catering sales planning and forecasting
Keep up to date on catering menu offerings, systems, and processes
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma and 3-5 years’ restaurant operations and catering sales experience
Experience building and successfully maintaining a restaurant catering program
Possesses outstanding leadership and organizational skills
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
Strong yield and revenue management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A guest service focus, a team orientation, and a passion for sales
Must have valid driver's license and maintain passing MVR checks
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Ability to be on feet for up to eight hours a day
Ability to work around loud noises and in a fast-paced environment
