    Associate Community Leader (ACL)

    Maple Street Biscuit Company (MSBC) is a fast-casual breakfast and lunch restaurant. We have a mission to help people, serve others, and be a part of the community and we operate on four (4) core principles: Comfort Food with a Modern Twist Made Consistently, Gracious Service, Immaculately Clean, and Sustainable Business.

    MSBC is looking for an Associate Community Leader (ACL). The ACL, under the supervision of our Community Leader (CL), and independently in the absence of the CL, is responsible for leading all store operations and logistics, including management of all team members working at their Community Store, whilst upholding the highest standards our of Mission and Core Principles.

    Operations

    Strong attention to detail

    Holds team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest experience

    Ensures quality standards are maintained at all times

    Builds and maintains strong relationships with their CL, team members, and guests

    Supports and communicates Company initiatives

    Respond and assist in any guest service issues

    Can open and close the store appropriately and efficiently

    Is a leader in the kitchen while the CL is on the floor

    Leads the store while the CL is off

    Submits the food and paper orders

    Understands and can assist with inventory

    Understands how to manage labor and creates the weekly schedule accordingly

    Understands how to manage cost of goods

    Knows how to handle a health inspection

    Assist the CL with interviewing and hiring decisions, as well as performance conversations

    Will learn every position in kitchen well enough to be able to train new team members

    Will help develop the next level of leadership

    Required Skills

    Able to communicate effectively with leadership team, guests, and team members

    English reading, writing, math and computer skills required

    Ability to taste and evaluate all food and beverage products

    Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts including weekends and holidays

    Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains

    Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift

    Ability to use hands in using office equipment, including the computer system

    Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence

    Close vision and focus capabilities to view computer screen and company documents

    Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at times

    Ability to be on feet for up to eight (8) hours a day

    Ability to work around loud noises and in a fast-paced environment

    Required Experience

    A minimum of 1 year experience leading and developing a team

    Proven ability to lead and develop a team

    Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment

    Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
