OVERVIEW:

Remote/Hybrid work environment in NY/NJ/CT.  Marathon Ventures Media Sales manages direct response advertising sales for multiple national networks and local television stations.  In its second decade of continuous growth, Marathon offers a team-oriented, fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to providing clients with the highest level of service.

Sales Planners act as the primary point person for the execution of all advertising schedules, partnering with sales teams, sales managers, and ad agencies.  Sales Planners at Marathon work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, innovative environment to provide clients with the highest level of service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for our media partners, responsible for exceeding expectations by effectively anticipating and solving problems
• Review client orders for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile logs and reports to ensure maximum accuracy in each transaction
• Assist sales team in achieving sales revenue targets by working with clients to optimize logs
• Work directly with Finance for billing reconciliation and resolution of credit/billing issues
• Cultivate collaborative internal and external working relationships to facilitate frictionless transactions
• Provide knowledge and direction to Sales Assistants as instructed by the Operations Manager
• Special projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years related experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to listen empathetically and to speak and write persuasively
• Ability to deal professionally, courteously, and efficiently in an office setting with co-workers and clients
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in Wide Orbit, Broadway, OSI or a similar order management system
