    Job Description

    In this specialized role, you will be responsible to develop and execute a comprehensive resident-centered and engaging daily program for Assisted Living residents who are experiencing cognitive decline; i.e. Mild Cognitive Impairment. This resident-centered program follows the guidelines of SRG’s vision for this special population of residents. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven individual with a passion for making our residents’ days engaging and enjoyable.

    Qualifications

    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or a related field of study
    • Highly productive self-starter who requires minimal supervision
    • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of achieving performance goals
    • Exceptional Planning and Time Management skills
    • Ability to keep seniors engaged and interested throughout the day
    • Able to collaborate effectively with all members of the Assisted Living team
    • Understands resident needs, can interpret resident care plans
    • Understands the language of assisted living, regulations, and how to interact effectively with individuals who have varying degrees of cognitive impairment
    • Must have a passion and love for working with seniors.
    • Excellent customer relations skills to provide feedback to family members.
    • Experience working with persons with cognitive impairment in a senior living setting.
    • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
    • Experience and confidence as a public speaker
    • Works closely with the sales/marketing team to present prospects and their families with information about Club Maravilla
    • Works in cooperation with operations team in order to meet resident needs and enhance resident experience
    • Highly proficient with software applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint, Adobe, Canva
    • Proven track record of exceptional attendance at work. This is a position that does not have a backup.
