Job Description

The shoe design intern will work with the shoe designers and design assistants. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·         Maintaining and archiving vintage and contemporary shoes

·         Researching new materials and maintaining the materials library

·         Assisting in day-to-day administrative tasks

·         Assisting in meetings by handling prototypes, organizing materials, or presenting color schemes

·         Working on various projects as needed by designers

·         Assisting with preparations for fashion shows

From this internship, the intern will learn:

·         About materials and leathers

·         How the design studio operates on a daily basis

·         How the design process works by actively participating in a team environment

Qualifications

Requirements:

·         Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of the internship

·         Must have valid US work authorization at the time of the internship

·         Must be detailed-oriented and a team player

·         Able to work in a fast paced environment

·         A strong working knowledge with Photoshop, Illustrator

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
