Seeking a very hands-on individual to be a part of our growing team! Position requires a proactive, team-oriented individual that is able to be hands-on to provide accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports such as internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.

ACCOUNTING MANAGER REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS - IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred, not required
• 5-10 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing
• Experience with financial reporting requirements and audits
• Able to manage multiple legal entities under one legal umbrella, including related party and intercompany eliminations.
• Managerial experience required
• Commercial & Industrial Equipment Rental & Leasing Industry Experience a plus
• Excellent analysis and communication skills
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking knowledge
• Experience with consolidations and debt consolidation
• Must be self-directed/self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities and thrive under pressure effectively. The challenge is expected, and you're able to handle it!

HIGHLIGHTS OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage an accounting staff of four
• Works closely with and reports to the CFO
• Ensure proper and timely financial and tax accounting per GAAP and IRS rules, along with all compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Positive communication in responding to upper management as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate the financial needs.
• Ensure accounts payable are paid promptly and vendor statements are reconciled monthly.
• Controls accounting close, corporate consolidation, and intercompany elimination
• Understand and able to process sales tax reporting
• Prepare annual financial audit to include:
  • Year-end closing based on goals agreed upon with auditors
  • Timely and accurate preparation of trial balances, account reconciliations, and other required documentation
• Responsible for banking to include cash deposits, ACH's, Wires, and bank reconciliations
• Manage and maintain the chart of accounts setup
• Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Perform Sales tax and Property tax filings, including deposits and payments. Also including other tax filings, deposits, and payments for 1099, 1096, and W-9.
• Responsible and able to provide detailed work for ensuring that the following reports are reviewed and distributed weekly:
  • D&I Reports – Weekly
  • Missing Tickets – Weekly
  • Open Work Orders – Every Other week
  • Open Purchase Orders - Weekly
  • Provide various other weekly reports to assist Management to manage their business unit better
• Manage fixed assets (purchase, setup, number assignment, sale, disposal, depreciation, payoff, maintenance of asset files) for all companies.
• Maintain the financial books for M Holding
• Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems and processes and data to the following:
  • AccPac
  • QuickBooks
  • Fixed Assets CS
  • WEX – Fuel Cards
  • Global Reporting – Travel Cards
  • Data 1 Administration – Merchant Credit Cards
  • Clientline – Merchant Credit Card Reporting
  • Bank of America On-Line Banking
  • ClickBase
• Provide strong, forward-looking analytical leadership.
• Coordinate and direct the month-end closes of the 6 Operating companies and M6, Inc. to include:
  • Closing Books by 10th of the preceding month
  • Issue Financial statements by the 15th of the month
  • All Balance Sheet reconciliations completed by the 20th of the month
• Participate in a variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to the system's goals.
• Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
• Prepare all financial and supporting documents for the preparation of tax returns.
• Reasonable and consistent attendance to fulfill the requirements of the position. Lead by example.
• Work with Accounting, Credit, HR, Payroll, and vendors and communicate courteously and professionally.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings outside of the listing above.
